We asked GreenStage staff… and the Staff Spotlight will share their answers to inspire your summer planning.
Amy Bogaard, GreenStage Production Manager, and stage manager, shares a few of her summer in the park experiences.
G.S.: Amy, what is one of your favorite parks on the GreenStage tour?
A.B.: I love Lincoln! The space is nestled away and feels other-worldly, especially when you walk to the bathroom through the woods and there are about 100 people having a party by the wading pool. Once all the equipment is dragged to the playing space, there is a sense of accomplishment in getting to the destination.
G.S.: Do you have a favorite memory related to your role as Stage Manager?
A.B.: The final show for 12th night, it was raining so hard and it was chaotic in an exciting and wistful way. I was soaked through, but we were still making decisions about what needed to go where and how to get the darn tent to collapse.

G.S.: Amy, what’s your dream picnic for watching Shakespeare in the Park?
A.B.: I would like to bring a dog. Not my dog, or else there would be no picnic. Probably some watermelon to share.

GreenStage summer shows run from July 10 through August 15 in parks in and around Seattle.
Go see a play!
