GreenStage stands in solidarity with our community raging against racial injustice. We hear the anguish. It has fractured our community, our society and our humanity. We can no longer let this stand
We also acknowledge that as a theater company we can do better. We resolve to listen. We resolve to hold space. We resolve to lift up the voices of the marginalized crying out in pain. We understand that words don’t carry meaning without action behind them. We resolve to have difficult, uncomfortable conversations We will reflect on our own actions and our complicity in white privilege and the systemic racism within this community.
