FREE Shakespeare in the Park heads into week 5!
We’ll be at Camp Long (West Seattle), Volunteer Park, David Rodgers Park, and View Ridge Playfield this weekend August 7, 8 & 9. All performances are free, just show up and find your seat.
On the 2026 mainstage tour we present Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, a romantic tale of renewal, redemption, and the transformative power of time, directed by Erin Day. Also on the mainstage, Coriolanus, Shakespeare’s most political play about pride, power, and identity in a deeply divided country, directed by Linda Lombardi. Backyard Bard will be touring abbreviated productions of The Tempest and The Two Noble Kinsmen, directed by Garth Ball.
We offer two ASL interpreted performances this week. Both of our mainstage shows: The Winter’s Tale – ASL Interprested 7pm Saturday August 8 at Volunteer Park Amphitheater, and Coriolanus – ASL Interpreted 7pm Sunday August 9 at Volunteer Park Amphitheater.
Sunday, August 9 choose from two FREE double feature events. Beginning at 3pm on August 9, see both mainstage shows back to back at Volunteer Park Amphitheater, or at 3pm at View Ridge Playfield Backyard Bard performs both 1 hour shows back to back.
