Your donations of any size make a difference.
Rising production costs have created a challenge for us. In order to bring the high quality Shakespeare in the Park you’ve come to expect we need to raise an extra $5,000 by the end of the summer. If you believe in the transformative power of theater like we do, if you’re committed to bringing FREE theater to the parks like we are, if you can’t image a summer without the laughter and tears that Shakespeare brings out of us like we can’t then please a donation today. Pay it forward for your fellow community and show your commitment to the arts.
We perform Shakespeare in it’s rawest form–on the same grass where you sit, lit by the sun that shines on you too, performed by actors who live in the same community you do. This is purely, uniquely human–what we humans have been doing for 300,000 years since we began to walk upright. Telling each other stories about ourselves gathered on the earth under the sun is what connects us as people and as a community. We need that connection and community spirit now more than ever.
What we do is not cheap; there are so many costs to do what we do from what you see like actors, and costumes, and props to what you don’t like administrative costs, marketing, transportation to tour our production.
We don’t charge you to view our productions–and we never will we believe strongly that everyone in the community should be able to join in these summer celebrations. So generous donations from you is how we have been able to fund these summers for the last 35 years.
If you can–if you are able–please donate. For you, for your community, and for the arts.
