“Every why hath a wherefore.”
Dromio of Syracuse, (Act 2, Scene 2)
GreenStage’s Shakespeare Reading group has joined the SOTF experience for the past two years, reading As You Like It in 2025, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream in 2024. We’re thrilled to bring this special in-the-park reading event back for summer 2026.
Read The Comedy of Errors with GreenStage
Saturday July 25, Volunteer Park, 4:30pm on the Museum Lawn
Bring a script, join in to read aloud or sit back and listen. Join us as we read one of Shakespeare’s most loved scripts round-robin style on the Museum Lawn area at Volunteer Park, surrounded by nature and theater.
Immerse yourself in outdoor theater on three stages!
The annual Seattle Outdoor Theater Festival will celebrate its 25th Anniversary on Saturday July 25th and Sunday July 26th at Volunteer Park.
GreenStage will be performing all of our 2025 summer plays at the festival, and this year we have a total of 11 companies performing 18 shows on 3 stages over 2 days. And it’s all free. (We enthusiastically accept donations, though!)
