Shakespeare Reading Series 2024 - 2025

Get involved with GreenStage!

Start by joining us at Hattie’s at the beginning of September!

“Your hand; a covenant.
We will have these things set down by lawful counsel,
and straight away for Britain, lest the bargain
should catch cold and starve.

(Iachimo, Act 1, Scene 4)

Thinking about working with GreenStage? Now is a great time to get to know more by joining us at the monthly Shakespeare reading group. Every month, a different script. Every script: a chance to read aloud or listen – perhaps for the first time – to parts of Shakespeare that don’t often see the light of the stage.

Before each reading, GreenStage volunteers & staff will share the latest news, including ways to support, volunteer, audition, or contribute creatively and otherwise to GreenStage. Join us monthly or whenever you can. If you are interested in volunteering to host a reading, please tell the Host to learn more.

Our reading group continues at the fabulous Hattie’s Hat on Sept 7th with Cymbeline.

Please join us at Hattie’s Hat in Ballard Sunday, September 7 for a FREE informal round-robin reading.

You can participate and read along, or just sit back with a drink and listen. Food and drink is available to purchase from Hattie’s Hat.

What: Reading of Cymbeline by William Shakespeare

        When: 6pm Sunday Sept 7th
