2025 is coming to an end and GreenStage had an amazing 37th season of Free Shakespeare in the Park!
Thank you to all our audience members, donors, and sponsors that helped support this past summer’s shows. You helped us have our most popular season to date, with a total attendance of over 11,500.
Shakespeare’s plays have remained relevant for over 400 years due to their focus on human experiences that anyone can relate to. By staging these plays simply, GreenStage strives to highlight the humanity that Shakespeare so keenly depicted.
Voluntary donations collected at performances have always been the majority of GreenStage’s funding. That means every bill dropped in the hat and QR code scanned makes a difference. In addition to the summer season, our short-term goals include adding staff to focus on accessibility and community outreach, increasing artist stipends across the board, and updates to outdated technology.
Your gift on GivingTuesday will help bring our free theatre programs to thousands of Seattle area residents and visitors, and to fulfill our mission to foster an appreciation of live theatre by eliminating financial and geographical barriers that impede access to the arts.
Thank you for your support!
