Canon Fodder: Henry IV, part 1

With our 2014 production of Othello GreenStage will complete Shakespeare's canon! We're celebrating with a look back at every play.

Today's play is Henry IV, part 1, performed by GreenStage in 2000.

Henry IV was directed by Linda Lombardi, who also directed Henry IV, part 2 in 2002 and Henry V in 2005 as we completed the triology over those years. Jason Marr played Hal, and later King Henry V, in all three plays, and Don MacEllis took on the role of Falstaff in each. That's MacEllis as Falstaff making a point to Hal in the photo above. Barzin Akhavan, now a regular at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, played Hotspur.
