Beware the Ides of March

These are challenging times. There is a collective anxiety and uncertainty in the air. The impact that COVID-19 is having on us right now in all aspects of our life is unprecedented. Our community is in crisis.

Our theme for this season is Out of the Storm–plays featuring characters braving the storm, both figurative and literal. In each play our heroes dig deep, gather their resolve and, through love, friendship, camaraderie and forgiveness help each other find their way out of the storm.

Right now, we are living in the storm. We will find our way out of it, we always have. And we will do that by leaning on each other. Loving each other. Supporting each other.

When the storm breaks, GreenStage will be here this summer to give you the FREE Shakespeare in the Park you’ve always enjoyed. Gathered together again, in the sun on the grass collectively as a community to tell these human stories.

We are able to present this community experience for free each year because of your generosity. Especially this year when many of our community members may be struggling financially once we emerge from this storm it is maybe more vital than ever. Please, if you can, if you are able, consider a donation as a gift not only to GreenStage but to pay it forward to the people in our community who rely on us to provide FREE performances every summer.

DONATE HERE

Please also consider a donation to our other sister theater companies in our community. Many of our beloved institutions are in financial crisis because they have had to cancel their performances and programs due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
