We are busy planning a summer of wit, romance, mischief, chaos, and a little bit of fairy magic all directed by three longtime GreenStage veterans. It’s our 37th season this summer and we’re ready to announce our summer season for you!
On the mainstage tour we will be presenting one of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies and fan favorite Much Ado About Nothing directed by Daniel Wood. We are closing out Shakespeare’s 8 part history epic that we began all the way back in 2017 with Richard III directed by Ken Holmes. Backyard Bard will be touring abbreviated productions A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Taming of the Shrew directed by Nicole Vernon. Performances will run from July 11 – August 16. The Seattle Outdoor Theater Festival will also be back July 12 & 13. More detailed information about that and our 37th summer season will be coming soon.
But, in order to produce Shakespeare in the Park this summer we need your help!
Increasing production costs have created a challenge for us. We’re just a couple thousand shy of our $10,000 goal. We rely on the generosity of supporters like you to keep Shakespeare in the Park FREE for everyone year after year. We are asking you to pay it forward for next year’s audience. Your gifts are eligible for a tax write off so consider that as you finalize any end of year donations.
We believe in the transformative power of theater. Just as water slakes thirst and food satisfies hunger we believe coming together as a community and taking in the arts feeds the soul. That’s why we give these performances for FREE–so that everyone can participate without an economic barrier being in the way. If you believe that too please gift a donation to us today.
Go see a play!
