GreenStage presents our 36th Season of FREE Shakespeare in the Park!
Since 1989 GreenStage has brought free Shakespeare in the park to Seattle area audiences. Our mission is to foster an appreciation for live theater by eliminating geographical and financial barriers that impede access to the arts. Our shows tour to over 20 parks, large and small in and around Seattle. Attending is easy – just show up, grab a spot on the grass and enjoy. No tickets or reservations are required. Our shows are focused on the text, story, and character relationships in Shakespeare’s plays, with a goal of making the plays fun and easy to understand. Thank you for joining us in the parks this summer for our 36th Anniversary season!
On the mainstage tour we presented one of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies and fan favorite Twelfth Night directed by Erin Day. We will also continued Shakespeare’s War of the Roses saga with Henry VI Parts Two & Three directed by Zanne Gerrard. Backyard Bard toured abbreviated productions All’s Well that Ends Well and Julius Caesar.
Performances ran from July 12 – August 17.
The Seattle Outdoor Theater Festival, was held July 13 & 14, 2024. Thank you for coming out to support all 11 companies, 17 performances, and vendors. The Seattle Outdoor Theater Festival will be back in 2025!
