GreenStage presents its 37th Season of FREE Shakespeare in the Park, coming soon to a park near you!

Since 1989 GreenStage has brought free Shakespeare in the park to Seattle area audiences. Our mission is to foster an appreciation for live theater by eliminating geographical and financial barriers that impede access to the arts. Our shows tour to over 20 parks, large and small in and around Seattle. Attending is easy – just show up, grab a spot on the grass and enjoy. No tickets or reservations are required. Our shows are focused on the text, story, and character relationships in Shakespeare’s plays, with a goal of making the plays fun and easy to understand. Backyard Bard will be touring abbreviated productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Taming of the Shrew directed by Nicole Vernon. Performances will run from July 11 – August 16.
