GreenStage is seeking a Costume Designer for our summer production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, directed by Erin Day, touring to parks in the Greater Seattle Area. Our 2024 season runs from July 12 through August 18.
GreenStage is an all-volunteer organization. However, we provide a stipend to all actors and members of the production team as a thank-you and to help cover travel expenses.
BASICS
Our shows are produced simply. However, costumes are our primary visual storytelling element, and most actors play more than one character over the course of a show. The Costume Designer is expected to acquire, design, and (when necessary) build costumes for their show. The Costume Designer will have access to GreenStage’s current extensive costume stock and be provided with a costume budget.
REQUIREMENTS
- Communicate and coordinate with director regarding costume needs in a timely manner.
- Acquire, design, and/or build required pieces.
- Meet agreed on deadlines for costume delivery.
- Be available on an on-call, as-needed basis for emergency repairs throughout the season.
A $500 stipend is paid at the end of the run.
