GreenStage is looking for two ASMs for our 2019 Shakespeare in the Park season. Our summer season consists of three tours, ASMs are needed for our two main tours.
Reliable transportation is required. We produce two full length Shakespeare plays, each with a cast of 12-15. These shows travel with footlights for evening shows and occasionally with a simple sound system or generator. Assistant Stage Managers would set up any scenic pieces, footlights, and sound equipment as needed for the show they are working on. Scenic pieces are usually very simple. Footlights are used for evening shows, sound equipment is used a few times each summer in larger parks.
Stage managers and ASMs are responsible for transporting items to performances.
ASMs need to be available for production meetings and tech week, as well as for all performances.
The season runs from July 12 through August 17, rehearsals begin around June 1. We perform in public parks in Seattle, Fall City, Lynnwood, Burien, and Maple Valley. Performances are Thursday – Sunday evenings, with matinees on weekends. Each production has around 20 total performances – 3-4 per weekend.
Stipend of $400 paid at end of run
