The SOTF was held on July 25 & 26, 2026, and will return July 10 & 11, 2027!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you who attended, and to the performance companies and all their supporters for joining us for the 25th Anniversary of The Seattle Outdoor Theater Festival at Volunteer Park. SOTF has served as the unofficial launching pad for the Seattle’s summer outdoor theater season since 2001, and consists of multiple theatre companies coming together in one park to present a weekend of free theatre.

SOTF HISTORY

The Seattle Outdoor Theater Festival began in 2001 when GreenStage – Seattle’s Shakespeare in the Park Company, Theater Schmeater, and Seattle Shakespeare’s Wooden O joined forces to bring a full weekend of live theatre to Volunteer Park in Seattle. Since then the festival has grown to include up to three stages and twenty-one performances from thirteen local theater companies in 2026. All in two days in one park… AND IT’S FREE!
