Prop Designer

GreenStage is looking for a props person to acquire, design, and if necessary, build props for our 2023 Shakespeare in the Park season. The props person is responsible for outfitting our summer shows with hand props and small scenic pieces. Our season consists of three tours: two full-length Shakespeare plays, and our Backyard Bard series which consists of two shortened productions, both performed by the same four actors.

The props person works on all three productions in our summer. Our shows are produced simply, and prop needs are usually fairly simple, consisting mainly of common hand props. Prop designer is responsible for working with the production team to obtain, design, or build required pieces. We have stock to pull from, a decent props budget, and may be able to provide a place to build if needed.

Rehearsals have begun, tech week is July 2-6.

Performances run from July 7 through August 12 in public parks in Seattle, Fall City, Lynnwood, and Burien. Performances are Friday – Sunday evenings, with matinees on weekends. Each production has around 18-20 total shows – 3 per weekend. Full schedule HERE

$500 stipend paid at the end of run
