It’s been two entire years since we saw you last but we will be reunited this Friday when FREE Shakespeare in the Park opens once again. Live and in person! Live theater is back and we don’t think there’s anything better than seeing some Shakespeare outside and under the summer sun where it belongs. A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be at Volunteer Park all weekend while our Backyard Bard cast will be entertaining the folks at High Point Commons. Then Sunday all shows will unite for a triple feature at Volunteer Park.
(Note: Because the amphitheater at Volunteer Park is getting a much needed make over we will be performing in a different location this year. Just follow our signs to find us.)
It’s our 33rd season July 9 and though it’s a little bit smaller this year we will still be giving you the excellence you’ve come to expect from us. The season runs this Friday through August 14th. Our mainstage play is a 1970’s themed A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed by Taylor Davis. For our Backyard Bard series this year we have Twelfth Night and The Tempest directed by Ken Holmes.
Go see a play!
