It has been a great summer, but GreenStage's 27th season of FREE Shakespeare in the Park must wrap up this week. We will give the final six of our 62 performances between now and Saturday evening, with five of the shows at Volunteer Park, where it all began in early July. If you've been procrastinating, never fear; we will close out the season with a triple feature at Volunteer on Saturday. Time flies when you're having fun, and we've been having a total blast with our four plays this summer. The show must go on, however, though that made for some soggy Shakespeareans and soaked spectators. A few drops of water couldn't spoil a good time, though we admit we're happy that the forecast is for sunny and warm weather for the rest of this week. We have plenty of time to dry out all of the costumes... + continue reading

GreenStage has been doing FREE Shakespeare in the Park for 27 years, but we're still finding new places to play. We'll visit three of them this week. Tuesday, July 21 at 7 p.m. we will perform our Backyard Bard version of Macbeth at Hotel Albatross in Ballard. Just opened earlier this year, Hotel Albatross serves exotic and herbaceous tiki‑inspired cocktails meet eclectic street eats, so we're calling it Tiki Bard! Vashon Island's Ober Park is not new to our schedule, but... + continue reading
