GreenStage is looking for two Assistant Stage Managers to join our 2017 Shakespeare in the Park team. Our summer season consists of three tours, two of which require an assistant stage manager.
We produce two full length Shakespeare plays, each with a cast of 12-15. These shows travel with footlights for evening shows and occasionally with a simple sound system. The Assistant Stage Manager is responsible for transporting lights, sound, and possibly some simply scenic elements (benches, flags, etc)
RELIABLE VEHICLE REQUIRED – Each production tours to up to 12 different locations in and around Seattle. Our equipment is fairly compact, and will fit in most cars. Scenic pieces may not be as compact.
Experience with sound equipment is a plus.
The season runs from July 14 through August 19, rehearsals begin around June 1. The ASM does not need to be at all rehearsals, but will need to attend all tech rehearsals. We perform in public parks in Seattle, Fall City, Lynnwood, Normandy Park, Burien, and Maple Valley. Performances are Thursday – Sunday evenings, with matinees on weekends. Each production has around 20 total performances – 3-4 per weekend.
$400 stipend paid at end of run
