About the painting

The image used for the 2009 Shakespeare in the Park poster was painted by longtime GreenStage donor and fan, Karen Richter. It is based on the Chandos portrait of Shakespeare, but made to look more like a young man.

The painting is 16" x 20" oil on canvas.

This portrait will be raffled off following our Donor Appreciation Reception at Magnuson Park on August 8th. 

Watch King John at 3, join us for the reception (donors only - although we can take care of that at the door), and stay for Comedy of Errors at 7.

Raffle tickets will be available all day, and the drawing will take place at the end of Comedy of Errors (approx. 9pm). Must be present at time of drawing to win. We will also be raffling off signed posters, t-shits and other items.
